How you get the keys.

Read the list. Each house says who it sleeps, what it costs and what it isn’t for.

The message reaches the owner. Whoever answers is whoever has the keys.

03Pay the house.
The owner takes the booking and the money. You get their number, not a ticket.
What there isn’t.
- No commission.
- The owner sets the price. You pay the house, and we add nothing on top.
- No manager.
- Whoever answers the phone lives there or keeps the keys. Nobody is reading you off a screen.
- No 1,400 results.
- Forty houses, not forty thousand. Each one visited before it goes on the list, and off it if it stops being what it was.
What the listing tells you.
Distance to the nearest road. Who answers the phone. Which rooms get morning light. What the house isn’t for.
From a listing:
- The nearest shop is 9 km. Bring what you need.
- No pool. A river, ten minutes on foot.
Written after the visit, by whoever went. Read a listing
Questions before you ask for access.
- Do you add anything to the price?
- No. The owner sets it and you pay the house. If that ever changes, this page will say so before the price does.
- Does Fewer Rooms exist yet?
- Not as a booking service. Today it is this page, a list being visited house by house, and a line of people waiting for a comarca to open. fabrica, a branding and web studio, is building it. If it never opens, we write and say so.
- How many houses, and where?
- Forty on the list, all inside three hours of Barcelona or Valencia by car. We open one comarca at a time, and the table above says which ones are in.
- Who am I paying?
- The house. The owner takes the deposit and the balance on their own terms, and the money never passes through us.
- Do the owners pay you?
- Whatever we settle on, this page will carry the figure before the first comarca opens. Nothing an owner pays us gets added to your night.
- Why so few houses?
- Someone has to go and sleep in each one before it goes on the list. That is a weekend per house, which is why the list grows one house at a time and shrinks when one changes hands.
- What happens after I request access?
- One email to confirm we have the address. Then nothing until your comarca opens. Reply to it and tell us where you'd go, and we read it.
- Can I put my house on the list?
- Write to hello@fewer-rooms.labs.fabrica.studio. Small, whole, and yours to let. We come and stay a night before saying yes.
